Service-minded, dedicated to your craft, passionate about perfection? You have come to the right place. You will blossom here – low turnover, desirable benefits, mentoring and a family-run business attitude.

Steno & Digital Court Reporters

McCorkle Litigation Services is a fourth-generation, family-owned court reporting firm serving the Midwest legal community for more than 100 years.

  • We are not a volume shop.
  • We are not a gig platform.
  • We are not private-equity owned.

We are a standards-driven firm built around accuracy, professionalism, and long-term relationships — with our clients and with our reporters.

Our Philosophy

Certified shorthand reporting remains the highest-accountability and most defensible method of creating the legal record.

At the same time, certified digital court reporting plays an important role in modern litigation when deployed intentionally, ethically, and within clearly defined standards.

Each reporting method is assigned based on the nature and risk profile of the proceeding — never interchangeably, and never in a way that compromises the integrity of the record.

How We Operate

Reporters working with McCorkle can expect:

  • Clear job classification and expectations
  • Thoughtful assignment matching
  • Experienced in-house schedulers trained in escalation protocols
  • Institutional backing when issues arise
  • Shared risk management — the firm stands with the reporter
  • Respect for certification, licensure, and professional judgment
  • Stenographic reporters retain first right of refusal on applicable proceedings

We do not pressure reporters to accept assignments outside their comfort level.

Who We’re Seeking

Certified Shorthand Reporters
(CSR / RPR or equivalent)
In-person, remote, or hybrid availability.
Relocation may be considered for experienced stenographers in high-need regions.

Certified Digital Court Reporters
AAERT or equivalent certification preferred.
Strong audio judgment and exhibit discipline required.

Across both roles, successful reporters are detail-oriented, calm under pressure, and interested in long-term professional relationships rather than high-volume gig work.
