Does your office have videoconference capabilities?

Yes. McCorkle has full videoconference facilities to save our clients money on travel expenses and time. In fact, we are Chicago’s preferred location for professional legal video services. Our equipment is both ISDN and IP friendly, but is not compatible with Skype.

Is your videoconference equipment portable?

Unfortunately, McCorkle’s videoconference equipment is not portable. We invite our clients to join us at our full-service videoconference facilities, where we can deliver the highest quality legal video services in Chicago.

How long does it take for a videographer to set up equipment for a videotaped deposition?

Videographers typically need 45 minutes to one hour for set-up.

What colors should a witness wear at a videotaped deposition?

Witnesses should wear neutral colors such as grey or blue. To prevent visual distractions, instruct witnesses to avoid stripes or check patterns, and red, white, or black clothing.

Is it necessary to clip on the microphone during the deposition?

Yes. To get optimal audio during the deposition, both witnesses and attorneys should wear a microphone, preferably on the lapel of their suit jacket or coat, within eight inches of their mouth.

In what media do you shoot videos?

Our professional legal video services team shoots in V-CAM, Mini DV, and DVD media.

What format can your video department produce?

Our video services team can produce any format, but our clients most commonly request MPEG-1, MPEG-2 and MOV files.

What is the normal turnaround to edit a video deposition?

Typically, each hour of video requires about 2.5 hours of editing time.

What is the normal turnaround to produce a video deposition?

Normal turnaround for video production is 24 to 48 hours.

What is synchronization?

Synchronization refers to a feature of our video services that allows you to simultaneously view your video and transcript on a computer screen. Video is displayed at the top of the screen, and the transcript on the bottom. When you click on a point in the transcript, the video automatically displays that moment in time. This feature allows you to highlight and save specific question and answer clips for later use.
